Dancing with Shame
Do you know shame is even ashamed of how it's been used?
Weaponised.
Twisted.
Thrown at the feet of women like a curse we’re meant to carry.
Until I learned to dance with shame,
it contorted me bent me into shapes I was never meant to hold.
Silent. Small. Palatable.
But now?
Now I move with it.
Now I listen.
Now I reclaim.
This video is an invocation.
A remembrance.
Because shame isn’t ours - it never was.
And yet, we’ve all been held hostage by it.
But something’s changing.
More and more of us are dancing with shame instead of bowing to it.
We’re dismantling the weapons.
We’re calling our bodies home.
You don’t need to stay in the place they put you.
Remember who you are.
You are important.
The body knows the way.
The soul remembers.
With love,
